Meet the presenters

Marie Eve Vaillancourt

is the Director of Exhibitions at the Juno Beach Centre and the Project Lead of MEV Museology Services. In 2018, she worked alongside a team from the Canadian War Museum to design “Great Women During the War (1939-1945),” an exhibition which pays tribute to women—Canadian and European alike—in recognition of their courage and many unsung contributions during the war.

Alexander Fitzgerald-Black

is the Executive Director of the Juno Beach Centre Association, the charity that owns and operates Canada's Second World War Museum on the D-Day landing beaches in Normandy, France. He holds a MA in military history from the University of New Brunswick, and an MA in public history from Western University.
